RESEARCH

Dr. Chu's research focuses on the molecular mechanism of innate immunity, especially the role of innate immune signaling pathways in neurodegenerative diseases, autoimmune diseases and tumors. Research interests include, but are not limited to:

1) Using the Genome wide CRISPR KO screen to identify new regulators for innate immune pathway;

2) Using CRISPR KO screen to explore the role and mechanism of innate immune signaling in neurodegenerative diseases;

3) Identify new molecular mechanisms that leading to autoimmune diseases (such as lupus erythematosus, rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis, etc.);

4) Interface between metabolism and innate immnunity;

5) Crosstalk between innate immnunity, cell senescence and tumorgenesis.
